About the studio
Paul Sabatini is the architect behind KISIO Design Studio — designing a small number of considered homes each year, between the city and the coast, each one drawn from its place and the people who will live in it.
KISIO Design Studio was founded on a simple belief: that the best homes are not imposed on a site, but drawn out of it — and out of the people who will live there. The brief, the budget, the way the light moves across the block, the way a family gathers at the end of the day — these aren’t constraints to design around. They are the material of the design.
Paul grew up in an Italian household, where the things that mattered were decided slowly — around a table, over good food and a glass of red. He still works that way. He’d rather share a long lunch and understand how you actually live before a single line is drawn. More than fifteen years on, he still leads every project personally, from the first site walk to the final coat of paint.
It is a deliberately small practice, so nothing is handed off and nothing is rushed. The result is architecture that feels calm, durable, warm — and unmistakably yours.
How we work
Site, climate and orientation lead every decision — so each home belongs, and performs, where it stands.
Honest, enduring materials chosen to weather gracefully and to be lived with, not just looked at.
A close, personal process with a small number of clients — your life, drawn in plan and light.
